not enough information

Well, you are getting a java crash for some reason but I've no idea why and there isn't enough information in your post. As far as chipsets, we build D8 with the -m32 and -march=pentium3 flags using gcc/g++ on SLES 10 and that is pretty much the only chip related flag we use. So, as long as the VIA C7 is pentium3 or higher compatible I would expect it to work. Are you running on a supported OS (SLES 10/RHEL5) with all the appropriate packages? Is there a stack trace in the javacore txt file?

thanks

kenbo
